In addition to the pleasant walk (1.7km), guests can enjoy swimming at the Žusterna swimming pool with an open Olympic-size swimming pool.
An active break
Nearby sports and recreational parks, hiking and cycling routes
For those looking for a more active break despite the vicinity of the sea, there is a popular and modern sports park Bonifika, which is only 300 metres away from the Fonda Apartments Koper. It offers tennis courts, basketball courts, handball courts, soccer fields, outdoor fitness, outdoor fitness for the elderly, children's playground, drinking fountains, refreshing steam showers, public toilets and parking areas. There is a running track around the sports park, which is exactly 1km long.
We recommend a relaxing walk along the well-kept walking paths and parks in Koper to all of our guests. We highly recommend a walk through the new urban park and walk along the Semedelska cesta, where you can walk right by the sea all the way to the suburbs of Semedela, then continue your walk to Žusterna or take a stroll along coast to the neighbouring town of Izola.
Cyclists can ride to Parenzana, an organized cycling route that leads past Koper along the former railway line from Trieste (Italy) to Poreč (Croatia). Cycling this route is a unique cycling experience that offers cyclists a tour with Istrian attractions and towns and treats them to clean air and unspoiled nature.
The Istrian countryside
A trip to Padna
We recommend our guests visit the nearby Istrian villages. If the guests wish to experience the feel of the countryside offered by the nearby Istrian villages, and to taste authentic Istrian homemade dishes or buy locally grown produce and artisan products, they can visit one of the most beautiful authentic Istrian villages, Padna. Padna, surrounded with endless olive tree plantations, is 13km or a 15-minute drive away from the Fonda Apartments Koper. In Padna, the villagers organise a visit to the village market with the possibility of tasting Istrian homemade delicacies. We also recommend you visit the Božidar Jakac Gallery and the Church of St Blaise.
